The Wildcats never trailed after a swing pass resulted in a 76-yard touchdown by Quinton Freeman. Quarterback Jakson Thomson had a breakthrough performance. He was 17-24 for 400 yards and five TDs passing. Zyrion White led the receiving charge for the Wildcats, hauling in five receptions for 190 yards and three TDs.

There was speculation as to whether Texas Tech commit Corey Fulcher would be able to play after getting injured in the game against Wylie last week, but he offered another stellar performance handling 20 carries for 125 yards and two TDs. It was a night of big plays as six of Lake Highlands’ seven touchdowns were 39 yards or longer.

As is tradition, the Wildcats get to keep the name of the stadium for the sixth year in a row.

The Lake Highlands Wildcats look to take their renewed confidence into this week’s matchup against the Skyline High School Raiders, a traditionally tough team to beat. The game is this Thursday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m at Wildcat-Ram Stadium.
