Police are looking for the man pictured above, captured on security video breaking into Makers Connect on Northwest Highway early Monday morning. Co-owner Chris Unruh says the suspect brought a brick with him, which he lobbed through the front door, shattering the glass.
“Then he skipped around to the cash drawer — knew exactly where it was — and pulled out the whole cash drawer,” Unruh says. She says he took about $300, including the $110 the business had collected for the nonprofit Dallas Cat Lady. “He didn’t look around or grab any vendor product — thank god — and went out the same hole he came in.”
Video, posted below, showed him leaving in an older model, light colored sedan (she guesses a Toyota Camry or Honda Civic). Police stopped by today to take a report, and she’s told a detective will follow up soon.
