Two Dallas police officers were injured in an alleged DWI accident at Forest Lane and Audelia Road. Police say the 24-year-old suspect was under the influence of an unidentified drug when he struck the right side of the police cruiser early in the morning of Aug. 20.

The impacted forced the cruiser to slide across Audelia and slam into a retaining wall. Both officers were taken to Presbyterian Hospital with head lacerations and required stitches. The suspect, who has not been identified, was also taken to the hospital for medical treatment and a blood test.
