When teachers at Lake Highlands Elementary kicked off back-to-school in-service with a photo scavenger hunt Thursday, one group called this reporter to check one item off their list – “pic with a local celebrity.”

Oh…you guys can do better than that.

Corby Davidson, a.k.a. The Cobra, a.k.a. The Snake, a.k.a. Dallas sports talk radio’s most beloved on-air personality, agreed to be their much bigger catch, inviting the ladies over to his Lake Highlands home before heading in to The Hardline studios.

Whitley Gillis Nemec, who graduated from Lake Highlands High in 2006, says her team, including Carol Blakeman, Leaha Rodriguez and Lulu Walston, also collected photos for the hunt of the group hanging out with a current mascot, wearing an LHHS football uniform, sipping java at White Rock Coffee and stepping back into the LHHS cafeteria.

Check, check and check.

We’ll have to listen to Thursday’s 3-7 show on 1310 The Ticket to hear if Corby shared any secrets with the teachers from his recent trip to Cowboys training camp.

Go Cowboys and go Wee Wildcats!
