Trails, streets, infrastructure, code, police and fire/emergency — so many things to fund. As the Dallas City Council considers how to spend 2017 Capital Bond Program money citizens are asked to offer their input. Our District 10 councilman Adam McGough hosts a town hall-style meeting Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Lake Highlands Recreation Center, 9940 White Rock Trail.

Here residents can express concerns, ask questions and contribute to the process of determining priorities, organizers say. “We will also discuss Lake Highlands projects and infrastructure funding specific to our district. We need to continue to advocate for our community, and will discuss our next steps at this meeting.”

I’d like to go but I know this will be a huge waste of my time. I know they’ll spend it on something superficial like some stupid bridge rather than spend it on where it really needs to be spent like roads.
