If you’re looking for a way to honor fallen officers today, one year after Dallas’ July 7 ambush in 2016, Norma’s Café has a few tasty ideas. Blue Plate Special dishes include chicken fried steak, meatloaf, chicken and dressing, chicken fried chicken and chicken tenders, and all specials come with 3 sides. Guests who opt to donate $20 or more to ATO will receive a limited edition “Support First Responders” t-shirt (while supplies last).

“Police officers and first responders are some of the most courageous men and women I know,” said owner Ed Murph, “and our family at Norma’s Café is always looking for ways to acknowledge their commitment to the Metroplex. Whether it’s through a hot meal and cup of coffee on the house, food donations to the police stations or a fundraising effort like this, we want all first responders in Dallas to know how much we appreciate the work they do in our community.”

ATO provides financial assistance to officers facing loss of income due to a serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event. ATO also offers immediate assistance to an officer’s family in the event of a death of an active officer.

Norma’s Café is located at 9100 N. Central Expressway.
