Update: The coffin races have been canceled due to a little issue with park event permits, which is depressing. A reservation for Trocars Dallas still stands and the afternoon will include a picnic and a chance to drop by and get to know the group.
Saturday, noon-5 p.m. They are off to the races … in caskets. That’s correct. The Dallas Trocars Casket Races are coming to Flag Pole Hill. I’m beaten — I cannot pitch this thing any better than they do on the invite: “Come and watch some crazy people ride casket shaped soapbox racers and hang out with some great people and good food. Build a racer and bring it out for a ride down the hill. If you have a hearse, please bring it out too.”
