Chris Knox

Brett Shipp’s feature on Wednesday night’s Channel 8 news focused not on the acquittal of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price or even on his high profile lead lawyer, Shirley Baccus-Lobel. Instead, it highlighted Lake Highlands High School 2000 graduate Chris Knox, the second chair attorney Shipp calls Price’s “secret weapon.”

You can view Shipp’s full story here.

Knox, 35, has been practicing law just 8 years and is the son of Rita Knox and longtime defense attorney Bill Knox. He was appointed to represent Price two years ago in one of the biggest corruption trials in the country. He worked almost 24/7 until the jury pronounced Price not guilty on April 28th.

Today, things are “a little bit slower” as Knox works to build his practice. He’s also taking time to thank supporters and old friends who’ve congratulated him on social media. One, who saw the Shipp story, even suggested he write a book on the Price trial. We’ll let you know if/when that one comes out in stores.
