About 75 shoppers waited in line before doors opened Wednesday at 7 a.m.

Terri Hoover, owner of Artistik Edge, walked over from her shop Wednesday morning to witness the ribbon cutting at the new Sprouts Farmers Market.

“It’s been like living in a snow globe in an ant farm around here,” Hoover said in her typically colorful way. “We’re glad Sprouts is finally open and some of the construction is coming to an end. This is going to be great.”

Piyusha Patel and Christy Marsh arrived just before 6 to be first in line. They were among 200 people to receive discount coupons and other giveaways. Store employees greeted the early birds with applause as they entered and welcomed them with pride.

“This store is beautiful,” said Sprouts rep Erin Miller. “We know the neighbors have been asking for this location, so it’s exciting to see it come to fruition.”
