Clardy sworn in, Bono elected board president

Justin Bono, Karen Clardy and Kristin Kuhne are sworn in by Judge Dennise Garcia.

Karen Clardy was sworn in as Richardson ISD’s newest school board member Monday night alongside returning members Kristin Kuhne and Justin Bono. The three were elected May 6th.

The board bid farewell to departing member Kris Oliver, who stepped down to permit his daughter, now a college graduate, to accept a position teaching at Richardson High.

The board’s first order of business was to elect officers for the coming year. Lake Highlands resident Justin Bono will serve as president, Kuhne as vice president, Kim Caston as treasurer and Katie Patterson as secretary.

(Note to self: Must stop taking notes at school board meetings using members’ initials. There are now two K.C.’s and two J. Bono’s on the RISD school board.)

Congratulations, all.

Trustee Karen Clardy with her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandsons.
