Thursday, April 13, Afternoon Crafting for Kids and Families takes place at the Audelia Road Library starting at 3:45 p.m. Each Thursday afternoon through May 4, you can enjoy creating beautiful yarn art with the fiber artist, Sallie Ackerman (disclosure: Ackerman is a sales rep at the Advocate). Supplies are provided.

Grab your Easter bonnets, baskets and your furry family members and meet the LAP, League of Animal Protectors, at Half Price books on Easter Sunday for some picture taking fun. Go home with your pets or you and your pet’s Easter photo for a $10 donation to LAP. Dogs and kitties are welcome to attend. Dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in a carrier.

A Ballroom Social Dance Party is set for Friday, April 14 and features complementary refreshments, dance hosts, and a mix of ballroom, Latin, swing, and country music. Cha-cha group classes begin at 7:45 p.m., and social dancing goes 8:30-10:30 p.m. A $15 cover can be paid at the door at Dance Masters Studio Dallas on Northwest Highway.
