Police look for driver who hit and killed a pedestrian on Northwest Highway, failed to stop

Early Easter morning an unnamed man was walking in the right lane in the 12500 block of E. Northwest Highway — that’s near Shiloh and I-635, near the edges of East Dallas/Lake Highlands/Garland.

“The unknown male victim was either walking in the right lane of 12500 E. Northwest Highway or stepped off the curb into the roadway failing to yield the right of way and was struck by a unknown vehicle that was traveling westbound on E. Northwest Highway,” police note. “The unknown vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid, and there were no witnesses to the accident at the scene when the first officers arrived. The unknown victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. No positive identification was found on the victim, therefore no next of kin notification has been made at this time.”

Police ask that anyone who might have seen anything relevant to this crime call Crime Stoppers at 877.373.TIPS.
