The sexual assault and robbery took place about a half mile north of the I-635-Central Expressway interchange.
The crime happened during the middle of the day last Thursday in a North Dallas apartment community, less than a mile north of the I-635 interchange, and right off the Cottonwood Trail, a stretch frequented by cyclists and runners traveling north from Lake Highlands.
At about 12:30 p.m. on April 20, a man entered a residence in the 13700 block of Maham Road. Brandishing a weapon, he sexually assaulted an inhabitant, stole property and fled in an unknown direction, police say.

The suspect, whose composite sketch was released today, is described as “Latin male, early 20s, about 5 foot 7 inches tall, heavy-set with short black hair. The victim told detectives the man spoke to her in Spanish.
