Police arrested the man who sexually assaulted a woman Wenesday, March 1, as she was walking to her car.
Peter Lavone Johnson, 21, was charged with aggravated sexual assault. Johnson — who has prior convictions for robbery, theft from person and burglary of habitation — is in jail with $150,000 bond.
The victim left her apartment at 9:10 a.m. and was walking to the parking garage at 7900 Forest Lane when Johnson shoved her to the ground and assaulted her, police say. He then fled the area and headed down Forest Lane toward North Central Expressway.
