Organizers say they expect more than 60 companies at a job fair Thursday, March 16 — that’s more than they initially hoped for says District 10 councilman Adam McGough who helped arrange it.

The job fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Forest Lane Academy, 9663 Forest Lane. Those in need of resume assistance can utilize an on-site resource center, which will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. There, candidates also can take advantage of free resume consultations, interview tips and job readiness training, plus use printers and copiers.

It is preferred that candidates register for the Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas Job Fair in advance here, but walk-ins also are welcome.

“A good job can make all the difference,” McGough says. “And, we know it can be hard for many to find the right job. So, we are working with Workforce Solutions and other partners to bring 65 employers with good job opportunities to District 10, and specifically the North Lake Highlands, Forest-Audelia area.”
