Dallas Blooms at the arboretum.

The summer of love is blooming at the Dallas Arboretum with “Peace, Love and Flower Power,” on display through April 9 and packed with vintage VWs encrusted in flowers. This weekend, the arboretum pays homage to 1960s legend Ed Sullivan, include an impersonator who will juggle and perform magic. It culminates with a Beatles tribute band, since Sullivan helped make the Fabulous Four famous. The show takes place from noon-2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday and is free with arboretum admission ($10-$15, plus $8 for parking).
Kathy Burks’ Theater of Puppetry Arts provides its own take on the classic fairytale “Jack and the Beanstalk,” opening this weekend at the Dallas Children’s Theater, 5938 Skillman. The performance, geared toward children ages 4 and older, features appearances from the likes of the Man on the Moon and a chatty hen. Tickets are $22-$26 and the show runs from March 3-26.
