Dallas was home to many drive-in restaurants in the mid-20th century. There were Sivils, Prince’s and Pig Stand, among others.

But Keller’s is the one that has weathered the decades.

“Carhops” is a short documentary directed by Pat Korman in the early ’70s. It was filmed mostly at Keller’s on Northwest Highway.
