Through Sunday, Jan. 1—The Lone Star Circus marks its 10th year of bringing its festive holiday “La Fête”showcase of acrobats and aerialists, music and mimes. You’ll want to get there 45 minutes early to take in the pre-show with music, poetry and more. Showtimes are Friday at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Get tickets ($48 and $27) and more information at lonestarcircus.com.

Saturday, Dec. 31—New Year’s Eve morning marks the annual Loop-the-Lake — White Rock Lake, that is — run. It begins at 7 a.m. at The Lot, on the southwest side of White Rock Lake and benefits Marathon Kids, an organization aimed at eliminating childhood obesity. Participation is free, and donations go to the nonprofit. Hang around afterward for food, drinks and door prizes.

Saturday, Dec. 31—New Year’s Eve at Top Golf? Yeah, that’s a new one. Tickets for a 6-person bay start at $225 and include unlimited play plus party favors from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. A $450 package includes the above plus a “chef’s choice buffet” and a bottle of champagne. Tickets are still available, but, at this late date, refunds will not be, so learn more here.

Sunday, Jan. 1—Yoga in the New Year with the Dallas Running Club, located at 10405 Northwest Highway #102 near Plano Road. The power yoga class begins at 11:30 a.m. and donations at the door are optional, although recommended.
