El Pollo Loco is known for serving healthful, freshly-prepared food off open flame grills. Their signature chicken is marinated daily in a recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic before being fire-grilled, hand-cut and served in burritos, salads, soups, quesadillas and other meals. In a recent battle, staged by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram to determine the tastiest between Pollo Loco, Pollo Tropical and Pollo Regio, Loco was the favorite, somehow earning “Best Personality” honors. So there’s that.

El Pollo Loco hasn’t announced their opening date, but workers inside appear to be putting finishing touches on kitchen fixtures and dining room seating. At recent openings in Allen and Bedford, the store hosted free family events and entertainment beginning at 11 a.m. on opening day, including a grand giveaway of 1,000 meals and a #LocoChicken scavenger hunt.

You can follow the restaurant on Facebook and/or Twitter to learn more.
