Coming off their win last Friday against Richardson, the Lake Highlands Wildcat Girls Volleyball team looks ready to make a run in the playoffs. The win last Friday night secured the number two spot in the district and a better seed for the state tournament.

The Lady Wildcats finished 10-3 in district claiming second place. According to Sports Day High School, Lake Highlands is the number 10 team in the metroplex, behind the district rival Coppell at number 8.

Lead by senior captains Annie Crisp and Texas Tech volleyball pledge Haley Harman, the team seems well prepared for the playoffs.The Cats first matchup of the playoffs will be tonight, Nov. 1, against Lakeview Centennial. The game will be held at JJ Pearce High School at 6:30 p.m. Come out, wear black and support your Lady Wildcats.
