The 24th annual White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour takes place this weekend, Oct. 8-9, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The self-directed tour allows you to grab a map (available here) and hit up the studios you’re most interested in visiting at your own pace. This year’s event includes more than 50 individual artists along with four art collectives. See a full list of those participating here.

No tickets are needed, simply hit the road and take in the neighborhood art. This year will include a special focus on pets, as many artists are known to work with a furry four-footed creature in tow.

The tour was first launched in 1992 by artists Marty Ray, Michael Obranovich and David Hickman, who wanted to bring attention to the high quality of art produced near White Rock Lake.
