You know fall has arrived when the fanciful displays of pumpkins arrive at the Dallas Arboretum. Starting this Friday, you can see the unique seasonal displays, wander the hay maze and take home your own gourd from the pumpkin patch. Get all the details here.

‘Seussical’ Sept.16- Oct. 23

With all of his characters together, enjoy this musical inspired by Dr. Suess and all of his books.  The musicals go Friday through Sunday at the Dallas Children’s Theater with shows at various times throughout the weekend.

Batman Day Sept. 17

Come out to Barnes & Noble to celebrate Batman.  The event starts at 2 p.m. and will have fun trivia, coloring, and games.

Barbecue, Boots & Badges Sept. 17

Come enjoy live music, games, and a barbecue contest by teams of First Responder police officers.  The event will also have silent auctions and raffle prizes along with a drawing for free Dickey’s Barbecue for a year every hour.

Buddy Mondlock

At Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse this Friday, Buddy Mondlock will be performing.  Most famous for his song “That Kid,” Mondlock will bring his talent to the stage  at 8 p.m.

Jewish Film festival continues through Sept. 29

At three different theaters in Dallas, The Jewish Community Center of Dallas and the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs will provide films all relating to Judaism.  This films vary in genres but are successful films and have won multiple awards.

‘Night Mother’ continues

This Pulitzer-Prize-winning play is still on display at the Echo Theatre kicking off its 19th season. The show features local actors Amber Devlin and Jessica Cavanagh.
