Ready for fall?  This Saturday, Oct. 1, St. James Episcopal Church is opening its annual Pumpkin Patch for the entire month of October. You can use these pumpkins to decorate, carve, or even to cook.  The patch is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. All proceeds of this fundraiser will go to the youth ministry to help endorse mission trips by giving scholarships.

Enjoy catching pokemon?  This Friday night at the Dallas Arboretum, you get the chance to catch them all. The Arboretum is hosting a Pokemon Prowl, where from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can run wild through the world famous gardens in search of your favorite characters. There will be food trucks and the Arboretum’s cafe will have food, wine, and beer. Tickets are $12 and parking passes are free.

If you are looking for good beer, food and music, head on over to Oktoberfest at Flag Pole Hill. There will be German beer tasting, as well as tons of different German foods to snack on throughout the day. Performances by the Lake Highlands High School dance teams and Bowling for Soup round out the evening. Get your $5 entry wristband and/or food and beer tickets here.

Love Star Wars? Head over to the Disney store in the NorthPark Center this Saturday. You get the chance to play a role in a Stars Wars story, along with other Star Wars-based activities. The minimum age is 3 years old but anybody is invited. The three sessions are 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m and 12:30 p.m.

This Saturday, Oct. 1, is the last day that the Bath House Cultural Center is hosting the Fall Art Gallery Walk of the Dallas Art Dealers Association. The gallery will have various artists and pieces from all over the Dallas metroplex. From noon-8 p.m, be sure to check out the local talent who create art in our community.
