The Logans are one of the most inspiring Lake Highlands families I have met in my years covering the area, and I have met so many.

The story above, which is about a six-minute read, tells John’s bittersweet experience with developing Parkinson’s, undergoing complex and new procedures and post-operation developments.

Apparently the Logans were doing well, and the whole family was vacationing off the Gulf Coast, when a stairway collapsed injuring several of the family members introduced in our 2014 story. John sustained a compression fracture of third lumbar vertabra, Cynthia says in an email. Their nephew Ben was hospitalized with his injuries as well.

John is in a skilled nursing unit at Presbyterian Village North, and Cynthia Logan is living at Presby North as well, she notes. She seems to be in good spirits and promises updates in annual Christmas letters to friends and family.
