The Elks Lodge car show is Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. at #71 lodge, 8550 Lullwater. It’s free and open to all. A $20 fee earns entrance to the car show, hot rod owners, and it’s open to all makes and models. For show goers, hot dogs, drinks and other refreshments are available. Cool off at the indoor craft show, also noon-5.

This weekend is all about dads at the Dallas Arboretum. On Saturday, June 18, the Perot Museum brings its TECH Truck from 10 a.m. to noon. On Sunday, June 19, remote controlled flights circle the Concert Lawn every hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come enjoy lunch and Sunday brunch offered by Restaurant DeGolyer. The price of admission ranges from $10-$15, with free entrance for children under three.

This Friday, June 17, The Shops at Park Lane presents a free showing of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Enjoy the movie from your own picnic blanket or from one of the restaurants surrounding. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m., so don’t be late. Alcohol is only available for purchase at the restaurants. For more information, visit the website.

Check out the University Theatre’s performance of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” this weekend on Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the performance start at $15 and can be purchased on the website.
