Jason’s Deli — the one across the street from Presbyterian Hospital on Greenville — is set to close Friday.

By email, a restaurant operator explains: “We are deeply sorry to inform you that due to unsuccessful negotiations with the landlord pertaining to unreasonable increases in rent, we will be closing this location effective Friday, April 29, at 10:00 p.m.,” adding that the restaurant is in negotiations to open another location in the same area before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, East Dallas’ Mockingbird location, 5400 Mockingbird Lane, which the company renovated in 2013, remains open, and many of the employees will relocate to that or other regional Jason’s Deli stores.
