Looks like Warstic is hitting the big-time now.

Former Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler, traded to the Detroit Tigers for Prince Fielder  a few years ago after Kinsler declined to switch positions with the Rangers, has invested in Warstic and is using the company’s wood bats during MLB games this year. Rock performer Jack White also is an investor in the company, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Here’s what Kinsler told the Star-Telegram in waxing poetic about the company’s best-known product: “I was drawn to Warstic not only by its uncompromising quality but also what it represents. Ben and the team truly believe that a bat should be more than just a bat — it can be a tool, an attitude and at the same time, a personalized representation of who you are as an athlete.”

So far, the bat appears to be working for Kinsler: He’s hitting .340 after 15 games with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
