Odds are the culprits did not know they were targeting Dallas City Councilmen, “but,” in the words of one, “it sure feels bad.”

District 10 Councilman Adam McGough last week posted on social media this photo of his blasted-up car windows.

At a glance, I thought it looked like someone used McGough’s vehicle for target practice. Like when someone hit this Woodbridge security-camera sign. But McGough assures us it was rocks, no guns, and he says the Dallas Police Department is looking into it.

It seems to be a random crime, however fellow Dallas City Councilman Philip Kingston, District 14, commented on McGough’s post that he, too, had been the victim of vandals shortly after taking office.

“I’d been in office about 45 minutes when my car got keyed,” Kingston remarked. “Could have been random maybe, but it sure feels bad.”

A few hours after taking the first photo, McGough posted a picture of his children with a Dallas Police officer and the following message: “Really thankful for our men and women in blue #UnderAppreciated #BacktheBlue”
