Artistik Edge, the hair studio owned by Terri Hoover, who also founded a local nonprofit, will soon occupy the space on the ground floor of the Haven Lake Highlands apartments at Lake Highlands Town Center.

Near the hair studio, another beauty services store, Deluxe Nail Salon, will move in.

While not the anchor tenant/ grocery store we’ve been awaiting, these leases are a big deal, especially to those who have been watching and waiting for something to happen at the town center for seven years, because they help the town center project meet the retail occupancy requirements to receive Tax Increment Financing reimbursements. Completing the Haven and leasing 60 percent of its residences and retail spaces qualified them for an additional $8.6 million.

Hoover says things are moving along nicely at Artistik Edge, and she is aiming for an October opening.
