Lake Highlands was well-represented at the Junior Symphony Ball Saturday night as a bevy of Wildcats donned sequins and cowboy boots and two-stepped downtown to Gilley’s. Entertainment was provided by LHHS alum Granger Smith, and the event was attended by students from 20 area high schools.

The 2015 JSB, Dallas’ 56th annual, was planned and produced by students and parents, including LHHS seniors Mary Lea Phillips and Carter Garner, juniors Mackenzie Jones, Bonnie Kenny, Tripp Enlow and Peyton Brown, and sophomore Riley Smith. Their duties throughout the year included securing underwriting, choosing the band and mailing invitations. Proceeds will go toward Education and Community Outreach programs of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

On February 7th, LHHS grad Olivia Lewis will be presented at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball at the Meyerson. After a full debutante season marked by parties, mixers and family events, Olivia and 39 other debs will make the traditional deep bow known as the Texas Dip. Olivia graduated in 2013 and now attends Texas Tech University.
