The Catdaddies have been going strong since October of 1998, though lead guitarist Mark Sales is the only remaining original member. Sales, a former president of the Dallas Bar Association, has recruited several of his lawyer buddies to join the band over the years, and they cover a mix of Van Morrison to Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin to Linda Rondstadt, Beatles to the Rolling Stones.

After their first gig at Enchilada’s Restaurant in 1999, the Catdaddies played the New Millennium New Year’s Eve gig at KC Hall and competed regularly at Hughes and Luce law firm’s Battle of the Bands and Dallas Bar Association’s Law Jams. They’ve also played at the Dallas Arboretum and Gatesville Prison.

In addition to Mark, current members are: Kent Hofmeister, Bryan Dunklin, Christina Melton Crain, Brad Young, Steve Richey and David Michnoff.

You can catch the Catdaddies’ Summer Solstice Party June 21 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Go 4 It, Northwest Highway and Plano Road.
