The two-day festival, hosted by the Thai Community Center of North Texas, boasts quite an impressive list of activities from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. A few of those offerings include 15 food booths (with cuisine from all four regions of Thailand and plenty of vegan offerings), dance and musical performances, a four-day arts and crafts marketplace with Thai vendors, plus a Muy Thai (Thai boxing) demonstration.

U.S. Ambassador of Thailand Vijavat Isarabhakdi, consul general of Thailand W. Forrest Smith, Dallas city officials, and other community leaders will kickoff the festivities with an opening ceremony featuring a grand parade around the temple grounds and a ribbon-cutting Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Buddhist Center of Dallas will also open its doors to the public during the festival hours for free guided tours during the festival, something that has not been done in the past 30 years event organizers say.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Thai Community Center of North Texas and the Buddhist Center of Dallas.

Parking and admission are free; click here to view activity/tour schedules and learn more.
