Altrusa International Richardson
Several Lake Highlands area students and teachers have received recognition lately for academic excellence and/or service to their community. Now, another handful of local high school seniors have earned accolades.
Altrusa International of Richardson presented $1,500 scholarships to five area high school seniors at their recent meeting at the Richardson Woman’s Club.
Scholarship recipients included Anastasia Kovanova (who will also receive a scholarship from Lake Highland’s Women’s League later this month) and Susie Ghidei from Lake Highlands High School, Karleigh Hartley from Pearce High School, and Meredith Herbst from Richardson High School. (Mia Ivos from Richardson High School, not pictured, also received a scholarship.)
Altrusa awards scholarships annually to deserving seniors from Richardson ISD schools or residents of Richardson attending public high schools. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, and books.
