On Friday and Saturday from noon-6 p.m. gain a new appreciation for the flowers blooming this spring by viewing “Flora Et Lux,” an exhibition of photographs by Dallas artist Sandra Freeman held at the White Rock Lake Museum inside the Bath House Cultural Center. Featuring sepia toned images of flowers and dried plants including magnolias, calla lilies, amaryllis and seedpods the exhibit “causes the viewer to respond to the design and light found in each image,” according to the event website. The exhibition runs though April 27 and is free to the public.

Take your kids to the Dallas Arboretum for one of the best Easter egg hunts in town Saturday morning at 7:45 a.m. Festivities begin in Rosine Hall with breakfast and crafts. Afterwards, children and families will move out to the garden for a B.Y.O.B. egg hunt (bring your own Easter basket, that is.) Cost is free with Arboretum admission: $10-$15 for ages three and up, plus $10 for parking.
