Goodfriend’s patio will soon be full at lunch time Friday-Monday, too.
Do you love the patio at Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House so much that you wish you could hang out there with your dog, your beer, and your friends all day long? Well, now your dreams have come true: SideDish reports that Goodfriend will open at 11 a.m. to serve lunch, Friday through Monday, beginning this Friday, Feb. 7.
Deal-hunters will be pleased to learn that CBS DFW has announced the dates for this year’s Restaurant Week — an event where diners can reserve tables at over a hundred Dallas fine dining restaurants at a discount, (last year, including local Seasons 52,) — for Aug. 11-17. For each RW reservation made, a portion of the tab is donated to North Texas food Bank or Lena Pope Home, a nonprofit benefitting orphans in Fort Worth. Last year’s RW raised over $754,000 for charity. Participating restaurants typically aren’t announced until July.
Crossroads Diner has made national news: D Magazine put up a link to this Food & Wine article, that gives props to our hood’s go-to breakfast joint. The article recommends diners try the “delectable cinnamon sticky buns, topped with caramel-pecan sauce…the pork schnitzel, chicken-fried steak and house-made corn beef.”
