Dallas Police are increasing their efforts to apprehend the suspect/suspects responsible for two dozen armed robberies around the city (read more about the ones in Lake Highlands here.) “We need some intel about who doesn’t fit in your neighborhood,” says Maj. Jeff Cotner, according to Dallas Morning News. All of the robberies have occurred in driveways between 6-11 p.m., so take extra caution if you happen to be returning from work around those hours.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Dallas City Council made moves towards LGBT equality in the form of a “comprehensive statement of support” passed by the Budget, Finance & Audit Committee, reports Dallas Observer. All committee members approved the statement, except for councilman Sheffie Kadane, who represents Lakewood and East Dallas. “What I didn’t like is this resolution speaks to nothing but gay and lesbians,” adding, “The [references to the LGBT community] should be taken out from this paragraph and put ‘all.’ This should apply to all the city of Dallas, not just the gay and lesbian groups,” Kadane says.

Eater Dallas caught wind that Buzzbrews is considering opening a fourth location in Casa Linda, to which Lochwood neighborhood association president Scott Robson commented, “Here’s hoping for a location near my home at Casa Linda Plaza.” (Personally, I must say their breakfast options are delicious, so I’d be happy to see them move to Lake Highlands — so there’s two votes if you’re counting, Buzzbrews.)
