The accused Lake Highlands rapist will stand trial in February.
Cesar Benitez, the man accused of sexually attacking three Lake Highlands women last year, pled not guilty on all charges after complaining about his attorney and asking a Dallas judge to postpone his trial. Said request was denied and the trial was set for Feb. 10, reports NBC 5 from the Dallas County Courthouse.
No matter what, Benitez will remain jailed for a while—his bond is more than $4 million and he has an immigration hold that prevents release even if he came up with bail money.
In addition, police reportedly have some strong DNA evidence implicating Benitez in the crimes.
