Finally, White Rock-area drains can be dog-hair free again.
I was pretty disappointed when Laundromutt in Old Lake Highlands on Buckner at Peavy closed. If you are not familiar, Laundromutt is a do-it-yourself dog-washing spot. It is set to reopen on Garland Road in the next week or so.
Basically it will cost you about $11 to use the facilities, which include elevated doggie showers, grooming tools, shampoo and other necessities. Staffers will even help you clip toenails (the dog’s, that is) if you are squeamish about that sort of thing. Best of all, they clean up the mess — the dirt and grime and clogged drains.
The soon-to-open Vhea’s Laundromutt is located at 10610 Garland Road, next door to the Army surplus store.
