Screen Shot 2013-10-16 at 10.56.27 PMCreepy chic is so in this fall, as it is every year at the White Rock Lake Bath House. Each October (for some 27 years now) the Bath House Cultural Center unveils an impressive new Dia de los Muertos exhibit featuring original local, regional and international talent. Curators showcase an engrossing array of artistic tributes to departed spirits in varying shapes, mediums, sizes and tones. White Rock’s own lost soul, the Lady of the Lake, might even emerge for a peek. And it’s free.

The St. Patrick Harvestfest is Saturday and it is going to be big — bounce houses, laser tag, Games 2 U truck, zip line, rock climbing wall, zorb balls, cake walk, balloon artist, dodge ball court — brief interruption for 5 p.m. mass — a concert on the lawn featuring Her and the Hims, Mojo Filter, J. Charles and the Trainrobbers.  Tickets for the concert are $10 per family. Food for sale by The Grape, Luscher’s Post Oak Red Hots, Burger House, Chubby’s and Sugar Shack. I know what you’re thinking: what’s a zorb ball? Well it’s this.
