The Lake Highlands Trail is moving forward as the city council looks at authorizing an agreement with Oncor and a construction contract Wednesday, according to this week’s agenda (#28).
This part of the multi-use trail, located within Oncor’s right-of-way, will extend from Ferndale to White Rock Trail. It costs no more than $886,783. The design was completed in August 2011. Construction should begin this month and finish by this time next year. The park board approved the contract in September.
