Saturday was the anniversary of the Delta Flight 1141 crash at DFW Airport, which killed 14 people.

Survivors and emergency workers who responded to the 1988 crash gathered over the weekend to commemorate the event and dedicate a permanent memorial fixture. An NBC 5 reporter interviewed Robert Anderson, a resident of the Woodbridge neighborhood in Lake Highlands, who still has newspaper clippings from the day after the crash.

He told the reporter that he can put the memories aside sometimes, but that they never go away.

The memorial will be located at Founders Plaza, close to a memorial commemorating the 1986 crash of Delta Flight 191.
