For weeks, I kept driving by the building under construction at the corner of Northwest Highway and Retail, next to the Sam’s Club/Walmart combo, and I wondered what it was going to be. It was obvious it was a bank because of the safe, which was immediately built into the infrastructure, but it wasn’t clear which one.
Finally I stopped by to bug the construction men, and one of them kindly told me it’s going to be a Capital One Bank. I’ve put in a call to the media contacts at Capital One to see when we can expect it to be finished, so I’ll let you know when I know. It looks like it’s coming along pretty quickly.
Looking Google maps, anyone who lives near Northwest Highway and banks with Capital One should be happy about the new location. Currently the closest locations are Greenville and Forest, Northwest and Hillcrest or 75 Central and Fitzhugh.
