The Dutch Art Gallery, which showcases dozens of famous and rising, local and national talent is holding a silent auction Saturday, July 27 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Festivities include a contest to win a free canvas oil painting by Beth VanDeventer, producer of fine portrait, wildlife and animal art.

Drop a print photo of your pet in the Pet Photo Contest Drop Box inside the Dutch Art Gallery at Northlake Shopping Center, Northwest Highway east of Ferndale. Make sure all of your contact info is on the back of the print. Deadline: Saturday, July 27 at 4:30 p.m.

Gallery staffers will announce high bids and photo contest winners at about 5 p.m. (Photo contestants need not be present to win). VanDeventer will live paint throughout the day.
