Longevity is the name of the game for 31-year-old Mexican eatery Mario and Alberto. “We’ve had the same chef for 29 years; Juan – he’s the only bartender who’s been on that bar…we’ve got employees who have been with us from 15-25 years,” says owner Jose Chac Salazar, explaining that before he bought the restaurant three years ago, he had been the general manager for a “very long time.” And in that long time, the restaurant has become known for its great food and reasonable prices. A staple for loyal customers is the Filete de la Casa, a filet mignon plugged with garlic and bell peppers straight from Mexico.
