Lake Highlands feels like a small town, and that was especially true last night as families stepped out with their children to join neighborhood parties and trick-or-treat on the block.
My four kids are long past the trick-or-treat phase (although, judging from photos on Facebook, they still enjoy a good costume party). In their absence, I had a lovely time with the kids in my own neighborhood, trying to guess who their costume was meant to portray.
