Lake Highlands kicker Mitchell Henton has been nominated Player of the Week by Vype Magazine in an online poll, and you can vote for the Wildcat against 21 other talented athletes from around the metroplex here.
Mitch has had stellar performances at several games, including a big win last week against Jesuit Prep at their Ranger Stadium. With time running out, Mitch kicked a 42-yard field goal to ice the Wildcat win, 20-17.
His most thrilling moment, though, may have been his game-winning field goal early this season against Rowlett High. The Cats were down 28-27, and less than 7 seconds remained on the clock when Mitch was called to attempt the 44-yarder. Mitch nailed it. The senior saved the day.
If Mitch wins the online poll (voting ends at 11pm Sunday, Oct. 28 and you can vote each day if you wish), his photo will appear as Muscle Milk Greater Dallas Player of the Week in November’s VPYE High School Sports Magazine.
