Tomorrow, September 13th, Healing Hands Ministries hopes you’ll be moved to “Get Up and Give!” When you make a donation, large or small, your gift will be amplified from a pot of more than one million dollars in matching funds and prizes. It’s a bit of a party atmosphere, and Healing Hands is hoping you’ll join the fun.
In a campaign spreading through social media, DonorBridge and Communities Foundation of Texas have teamed up to host North Texas Giving Day, which benefits hundreds of area charities. Donors designate which agency is to receive their gift, and matching funds are tacked onto your donation.
The best part are the add-ons. There are prizes for the charities that have the most donations from unique individuals and the largest increase in donors. There’s a $10,000 prize for the charity that brings in the 1929th gift (funded by the Dallas Foundation to celebrate the year it was founded) and a $10,000 prize for the 2012th donation.
That means you could donate $25 and – voila! – it could become $10,025 to the families and children who receive medical and dental care from Healing Hands right here in LH.
Friends of Healing Hands have put together a little video, which you can watch via Youtube above. It’s set to the catchy music of Carly Rae Jepson and Owl City, so even if you haven’t had your coffee, you’ll be in the mood to tap your feet and type in your credit card digits.
