No matter who wins the presidential election in November, our nation’s leader will have Lake Highlands’ own Wildcat Wranglers celebrating his victory at the Presidential Inauguration.

The Wranglers have been invited by the Texas State Society to perform at its Black Tie and Boots Ball, one of several VIP events to be attended by the POTUS and the First Lady, as well as dignitaries from all over Texas. The Wranglers have a history of being featured performers at the soiree, but this will be a first for the LHHS juniors and seniors on this year’s team.

Flying a team this big to DC won’t be cheap, so the Wranglers are hoping for help from the community. Here are several ways you can help.

You can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a front row parking spot at the Boneyard and an RISD athletic pass. Tickets are $10 each, 6 for $50 or 12 for $100. Contact your favorite Wrangler or email Mary Barnes mcbarnes4@aol.com or Christy Tobey jctobey@sbcglobal.net. Winners will be announced at the first pep rally on September 7 in the LHHS gym, but you don’t have to be present to win.

You can purchase household Interstate Batteries (many sizes and varieties are available) using this link.

You can purchase colorful tote bags from the Mixed Bag Designs online catalog using this link. Enter the Wrangler ID #105326 at checkout to ensure they get credit.

Congratulations, Wranglers, on being selected for the big honor!
