The Lake Highlands Town Center development at Skillman-Walnut Hill has received needed funding in the form of a “$23 million HUD-backed mortgage arranged by Love Funding of Washington, D.C.,” according to Dallas County Records and a post today by Steve Brown at the Morning News.

This funding should allow developers Prescott Realty to move forward with the 200-unit, five-story apartment/retail complex just off Wildcat Way in the Lake Highlands Town Center, which we told you all about in June. Around that time, Councilman Jerry Allen told the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce to plan for a groundbreaking on the complex in late July. It would appear he was pretty close.
