Martha is a patron saint of cooks and servers; she watches over the cooks and servers at The Grape restaurant from the vantage point of the office, we are told by owners, Lake Highlands residents Courtney and Brian Luscher.
Saint Martha’s feast day is coming up, and the Luschers this weekend will host the 3rd annual Feast of Saint Martha, a three-course dinner for $38 this Friday-Sunday, of which $5 will go to The Stewpot.
The Stewpot serves three meals a day — every day of the year — to 700 plus homeless men and women.
“This is our way of honoring the tremendous number of volunteers in the kitchen cooking and serving nutritious meals for clients of The Bridge,” Chef Brian says.
